The true story of two artists spending their summers in Castelvecchio Subequo, Abruzzo, Italy, their life, friends, paintings and delicious meals. Next best thing to being there yourself!
I'm pretty interested in your description of the last few days, especially watching the soccer match in the center of town. The only thing I can think of that was even close to that was people sitting outside listening to the radio during the World Series when I was a kid. But that would have been on a much smaller scale, and no one really knew each other. Do people there all know each other? How does that work?
I think most people do know each other. There are only 1200 people in town. I do not know how many were downtown....maybe 200? I think every body knows everybody's business for generations. There was that night at dinner in Gagliano when someone mentioned a relative that had married a girl from Castelvecchio. Probably all dead, but not forgotten!!
You're posting so fast I can barely keep up!
