T shirts

There are things in my life I have not had the occasion to think about before coming to Italy. For instance the phrase, “to be too”.  If it was, “To be Two”, then I would get it. “To be Two” has many possibilities. When you are two years old all your behavior is blamed on your age. Later in life someone may comment that you are acting like a two year old, but is that really your fault? “To be Two” gives one the permission to act like a two year old at any age and not have it seen as a personality defect. “To be Too” gives you permission to be an also ran.


This is a shirt for your sweet little daughter. She wants to wear skulls and you want her to look cute and innocent.

We saw a pair of pajamas today that were poignant. Unfortunately I missed the shot and only got the pajamas next to the ones with the important message. It was market in Raino and busy. The pajamas were of the pants and t-shirt variety. On the t-shirt was a cubby cow. The cow’s message was, “I feel sexy tonight”. Ok, I have nothing to say about that, but what does this person wear when they don’t feel sexy? Probably a habit. Luckily this same vendor was in CVS today. I caught this couple contemplating pjs.

The last t-shirt of the day says, “Brightest London and home by”. It could be bad English, or it could be English English or it could be a fill in the blank allowing the wearer and the viewer to answer the existential question, “home by” or “not home by”.
