Trip to Sulmona July 19

Yesterday evening we went to Sulmona to hear Canadian opera students sing their final concert. While waiting for Gail and Matt to pick us up some men knocked on our door. We looked disinterested. Who were they? That is today's puzzler.

The concert was wonderful. The venue was a courtyard inside a church. Their voices filled the space. Sometimes I could not tell where the sound came from because each singer could project their voice until there was only sound all around. They out sang the 6pm bells of the church, cicadas,  and marching drums practicing for the festival.

There were many exciting things to see in Sulmona besides fabulous opera singers.

Beautiful streets

Beautiful flowers

Beautiful shoes

A poster for the upcoming joust

A sale at "Original Marines"????

Beautiful church on the Piazza Girabaldi

Another beautiful church on the Piazza Girabaldi with the aqueduct in front

Beautiful church on the Piazza 22 May

My reflection in a beautiful mirror

Yet another beautiful church

A not so beautiful store of stuff

Last, but most important, the beautiful faces of a happy couple in Italy.
You can not see my gelato in this photo, but trust me it is waiting.
