Raino market and painting

As you remember, yesterday was the festival of San Rocca. After dinner we did what all Saints do! Had a party! There was a big band from Napoli. There were 10 people on stage and 4 support people. They had a huge bank of computers and other equipment to run the lights and sound. They sat up right at center stage prompting a large exodus of the audience to the sides.

What do they have to pay these people for them to make any money at all? There were so many of them and they had a huge truck and probably at least three more cars. They were very good and all the old folks, people our age, loved them. Here are some of the people that were moved to dance. Well, all of the people over about 6 that were moved to dance.

Today we went to the Market at Raino. I wanted you to have a bit of the experience of walking through the market yourself. We were there early so you can’t experience the crowds, but you can also see better.

The market is on a beautiful, cool, tree lined street that is usually for cars. At the entrance are the small farmers who are selling what they have grown.

A more professional fruit seller.

This is what most women wear at home while doing house cleaning for 27 hours a week. You will not be needing on of these.

More tights than you might want.

Is that a banana in your pocket?
