Socks and Sirentes
Church in Sulmona
Lithograph by M.C. Escher done in Castrovalva,
1930.
Ned in Castrovalva. He has had this print since college and today we got to go there and see the spot Esher did it.
Escher plague in Castrovalvo.
Although Escher was considered a plague in Castrovalvo they actually gave him a plaque. Also they gave him a toothbrush. He was always in the way when he was out drawing and refused to move. Now thousands of people flock to this site and are a plague on the town.
Ned taking his own Escher shot.
Two people swam at Lago Barrea.
View of Lago Barrea from Barrea.
So beautiful. An overused word I know, but what can I do? Go to Barre?
